Ask them for the exact appointment calendar, not just “5 days is enough.” That helped me see where the gaps were.
I would not feel embarrassed. Food, hotel lift, distance to clinic, pharmacy nearby, these are practical aftercare things. For my dental trip the hotel was only 8 minutes by car but traffic made it 25 one morning, and I was glad I had no flight that evening.
One buffer day made me much calmer. I did not need it for emergency, but I used it for final bite check.
My coordinator sent a soft food list when I asked. Not medical advice, just normal planning. Ask.
