Breast reduction in October with my sister, worried about hotel distance

I am looking at Breast Reduction for October and my sister will come with me for the first week. The clinic coordinator is nice on WhatsApp but I realised I don’t know very basic things: how far the hotel is, how many check visits are included, and who answers after I go back home. One offer has a hotel 25 minutes away if traffic is okay. Another one is more expensive but says the hotel is walking distance, although I probably won’t want to walk much. I’m not asking about medical decisions here, just the travel side. Did the distance matter for you after surgery, or was it more about having a responsive coordinator? I keep changing my mind every day.

Distance mattered more than I expected. Not because of pain only, but because every small trip felt like a big task.

I would ask for the actual hotel name before deposit. Some clinics say “near” and then it is near by car, not near when you are tired.

My sister came with me for a different surgery and the best thing was she could deal with reception, pharmacy runs, food delivery, all that boring stuff. The clinic was about 15 minutes from hotel and it was okay, but only because the driver was arranged and on time. If you are comparing, ask if check-up transfers are included too, not only airport transfer.

Also ask what happens if your flight is late. My whole first day schedule moved.
