Is month 3 supposed to look worse after DHI?

I had DHI Hair Transplantation at the end of May and now I am around month 3. I know everyone talks about the ugly duckling phase but it is still hard to see in the mirror. The transplanted area looks patchy and my old hair is not helping because I cut it too short before flying home. I am not asking if my result is good or bad because I know it is too early. I just want to hear how people handled the waiting part. My clinic checks in by WhatsApp once in a while and says patience, but that word is starting to irritate me. I took photos in the same bathroom light every two weeks, maybe that is making me more obsessed.

Month 3 was mentally the worst for me. I stopped taking weekly photos because it made every tiny gap look dramatic.
