Question Afro-Hair FUE Transplantation Clinic selection

Afro hair FUE clinic selection after three video calls and one strange deposit message

curlresearcher
I am researching Afro-Hair FUE Transplantation and I feel like the consultation part is more stressful than I expected. My hair is tightly curled, so I wanted to speak with clinics that actually discuss afro hair, not just send the same “5000 grafts sir” message. Timeline so far: - last Monday I sent photos to five clinics - two replied almost instantly with package prices - one asked for clearer donor photos and a short video - one offered a discount if I paid deposit before the weekend, which made me uncomfortable The clinic I liked most was not super fast, but the coordinator explained who would do what on the day, how they handle airport transfer, and when they usually check photos after I go home. They also said they cannot promise an exact graft number from photos only. That sounded more honest, but I am still nervous because every website looks confident. For people with afro/curly hair who travelled, what practical questions helped you decide? I am not asking about medical technique, more how you judged communication, aftercare, and whether they were experienced with this hair type.

The deposit pressure before weekend would be red flag for me. Not automatically bad, but no thanks.

I asked them to show me examples of similar curl pattern, not just any hair transplant. Also asked who opens channels and who does extraction, because some places answer very vague. The clearer clinic was calmer on the actual day too.

My useful question was about follow-up photos. One clinic said “we are always here” but no schedule. Another said send photos at 10 days, 1 month, 3 months, etc. That made me trust them more, even if it is still just WhatsApp.

I did not choose the fastest reply. Fast was copy paste, they even wrote straight hair instructions to me by mistake. Small thing but it told me enough.
