Question Afro-Hair FUE Transplantation Clinic selection

Afro hair FUE in Istanbul with my brother coming for first four days

curlresearcher
I am in the research stage for Afro-Hair FUE Transplantation and trying to keep my expectations sensible. My hair is tight curl pattern and I have seen some good results online, but also some cases where the hairline looked too straight or the donor area worried me. I know photos are not the full story. Timeline so far: I contacted 5 clinics in January. Two replied with a package price only, no doctor name until I asked. One asked for photos from front, sides, back, and wet/dry hair, which felt more professional. Another did a video call but it was mostly the coordinator talking, not the surgeon. My brother can travel with me for the first four days, then I would be alone until flying back. I am not scared of the procedure itself so much as the communication after. Did anyone ask specific questions about experience with Afro-textured hair before paying deposit? I am making a small list but not sure if I am being too intense.

You are not being too intense. It is your donor area, not a haircut appointment.

I asked for examples with hair texture close to mine, not just 'curly hair'. Also asked who designs the hairline and who does extraction. Some places became vague there, which helped me remove them from my list.

My deposit question was important. I asked if it is refundable if the doctor changes the plan after seeing me in person. One clinic answered clearly, one ignored that part twice. I did not book the second one. Also, if your brother leaves after day four, confirm how they do washing follow-up and who to message if swelling or anxiety happens at night. Not because something bad will happen, but because after travel and procedure your brain can make every small thing feel huge.
