I would ask for the full appointment schedule before flying. My anxiety got better when I knew which days were hospital, hotel rest, check-up, and flight home.
Hotel distance matters more than people think after surgery. Mine was about 10 minutes by car and I was glad. Also ask who physically comes if you need help at the hotel, not just “we have aftercare”.
Bring your sister if you can. Even just having someone buy water and deal with reception is helpful.
My coordinator sent a PDF with garment, transfers, medication pickup, and check-up times. It was not fancy, but it made me trust them more because I could see the plan.
