Question Blepharoplasty Travel

Blepharoplasty recovery while working remotely from hotel for one week

Elena S.
I am in research stage for Blepharoplasty and trying to be realistic about travel. I can work remotely, but I also do not want to sit in a hotel on video calls looking swollen and pretending everything is normal. My rough timeline would be: fly Sunday, consultation Monday, procedure maybe Tuesday if everything is okay, stay until the next Monday. I am not asking if this is medically enough time because I know the surgeon has to say. I am asking from people who travelled: did you regret doing laptop work during recovery days? Were follow-up appointments early in the morning or random times? The clinic I like answers carefully but slowly, usually next day on WhatsApp. They sent doctor details and hospital address, which I appreciated. The other one answers in five minutes but mostly with voice notes and I find it hard to track what was promised. I am leaning to the slower clinic, but I worry about communication once I am actually there. Also, did anyone request the aftercare contact before paying deposit? I want a named number, not just “message us anytime.”

I would not plan camera meetings. Even if you feel okay, you may not want to explain your face to colleagues.

My follow-up times changed twice because the doctor had surgery days, so keep work calendar loose if you can.

I chose the slower WhatsApp clinic too. It was annoying before booking, but they were consistent: every answer had dates, names, and what was included. Once I arrived they gave me a local coordinator number and the hospital driver number. I made a simple list before deposit: hotel distance, check-up schedule, emergency contact, medication included or not, and what happens if flight is delayed. It made the decision less emotional.

Voice notes are hard for comparing. Ask them to send the same info in writing.
