Question Breast Reduction Research

Breast reduction recovery while flying home alone after 8 days

Maya K.
I am still in research stage but leaning toward Breast Reduction in Turkey next spring. I have wanted it for years because of practical reasons, clothes, back discomfort, all that, but I know this is still surgery and I am trying not to romanticise the trip. My rough timeline would be: - arrive Sunday - consultation Monday - procedure Tuesday if everything is ok - stay in hotel until the next week - fly home around day 8 or 9 My sister was going to come but now she may not be able to get time off work. The clinic says many patients come alone and their hotel is close. I am not asking if it is medically ok, I know surgeon must decide that. I am asking about the ordinary human part. Could you carry small bags? Did you feel awkward asking hotel staff for help? Was WhatsApp aftercare enough when you felt anxious at night? Also, did anyone regret choosing the cheaper quote? One place is about 900 euros less but their answers feel shorter. Maybe I am overthinking but I keep coming back to communication.

Communication is not a small thing. If they are short now, imagine when you are tired and worried.

I went alone for a different breast procedure. I packed one very light cabin bag and a crossbody pouch because pulling heavy luggage was my biggest fear. Hotel staff helped with bags without making it weird. I also ordered food to the room the first two days because I did not feel social. The WhatsApp part was okay for simple questions, but what helped me most was knowing the exact check-up times before I arrived. Ask who you contact at night and what happens if you need to be seen again before your flight. Not medical advice, just logistics that reduce panic.

I paid more for the team that explained aftercare better. No regrets. The cheaper one may be fine, but I needed calm answers.

If your sister cannot come, maybe ask the clinic if they have nurse visit option or partner hotel support. Just to know your choices.
