I would not pay until you know who evaluates you and what the refund rules are.
Fast replies are nice but I asked for a written plan before deposit. Number of grafts, who opens channels, hotel nights, transfer times, and what happens if they refuse me after seeing donor area in person.
Same feeling. Sales team and medical team are not always same conversation.
For my DHI research, the best clinic was actually slower. They took two days after I sent clear photos from front, sides, crown, and donor area, then replied with more questions. It felt annoying because I wanted quick price, but later I appreciated it. I still paid a small deposit, but only after they sent the cancellation terms and the name/role of people involved on procedure day. I would ask directly: if the surgeon changes the plan when I arrive, can I walk away and what costs are kept?
