If travelling alone, I would ask first who physically sees you the day after surgery and how you get back to the hotel. For eyes, I would want the hotel very close, a named coordinator on WhatsApp, and clear instructions for what happens if you feel unwell after hours. A nice quote is not enough if the aftercare is just “message us anytime.”
For blepharoplasty I would also ask if the surgeon or nurse checks the eyes before you fly home, and whether they give that appointment time before booking. I travelled for a different face procedure and the vague “we will see” answer made me nervous.
