Question Blepharoplasty Travel

Blepharoplasty in November with my sister as travel companion

nervousbeforeflight
I am looking at upper Blepharoplasty in Turkey for November because my sister can travel with me then. I am 41 and mostly doing research, not booked yet. The medical part I will discuss with the surgeon, but the logistics are making me nervous. One clinic replied within 20 minutes and sent a very neat schedule. Airport pickup, consultation, procedure next day, hotel for five nights, control before flight. It sounds organised. But when I asked who checks on me if swelling is worrying after I go home, the answer was just "we are always here". Another clinic was slower, sometimes 24 hours between WhatsApp replies, but they gave me the actual aftercare email and explained that photos are reviewed at certain points. Also, hotel distance is confusing. One says 10 minutes from clinic, but on maps it looks more like 25 with traffic. My sister says I am overthinking and we can just take taxis, but I remember being tired after even small procedures. Did anyone choose based on hotel closeness and follow-up more than price? I don't need perfect, I just want clear enough before paying deposit.

You are not overthinking. After travel, small distances feel bigger.

For my eyelid surgery trip, the clinic said 8 minutes but it was only true at night. In daytime traffic it was 20-30. I was glad my friend came because she handled taxis and pharmacy things while I rested.

I would ask them to put the follow-up plan in the same document as the quote. Not medical instructions, just who you contact, what hours, and whether the surgeon or coordinator reviews messages.

My mistake was paying deposit before I knew the hotel name. It was clean but not close, and I spent more on transport than expected. If you have your sister with you it is easier, but still ask the exact hotel or at least the area before paying.
